Thoughts of an old Man
Don’t bite your toe nails. As a matter of fact don’t bite anyone’s toe
nails.
Don’t leave dead animals in the trunk of your car.
Cheeseburgers are not a good snack food.
Ice cream is good, even in cold weather
Do more listening than speaking
Don’t chase snakes
Don’t leave your dirty socks on the kitchen table
“Call before you dig”
Smiling is a good habit to practice
Remember, hate has to be learned it does not come naturally
You don’t get chiggers in the winter time
Don’t talk with your mouth full
This Christmas be sure an eat some ribbon candy
Wave at everyone you meet on a country road
Have a solid gripe when you shake hands
“God loves a cheerful giver”
Notice beautiful sunsets (no two are alike)
It’s okay to ask questions if you don’t know the answer
Don’t tell the same jokes over and over and over
Learn something new about yourself now and then
Don’t sleep in your wheel chair without the brakes on
Don’t whistle while sitting in the doctor’s waiting room
Don’t wade through deep water in the winter time
“Let your mind dwell on these things, that which is true, that which
honorable, that which is right, that which is pure, that which is lovely, that
which is of good repute”
Gloves or mittens it doesn’t matter, just keep your hands warm
Scrape the ice off all the windows on your car before backing out in
the road
Have a conversation with a five-year old
Color a picture where you have to stay inside the lines
Write your grocery list in cursive
Learn to be thankful for the little things the big things will take
care of themselves
Stop what you are doing and sharpen all the lead pencils in your house
Do not try to make friends with a dust mite
If you haven’t done so recently read a short story by William Faulkner.
I recommend (Spotted Horses)
Keep your appointments with your doctor
Try to make everything you do have a happy ending
Control your urge to spit on the front porch
Always, always, always look for the funny things in life
It's not always easy to color inside the lines. :\
ReplyDeleteSometimes in life we have a tendency to color outside the lines
